“Brandon is an example of a true leader, in that he never fails to deflect praise to those he leads. Brandon consistently espouses teamwork and never fails to give credit to others for Dove’s success. When I step foot into his school, the culture that he has built is evident,” stated Chris Matheson, Area Superintendent. “He exemplifies to his staff the meaning of building and fostering relationships, and through interactions with families has shown that Dove Academy is a second home to many of his families. It is through his hard work and determination that his school continues to thrive,” added Matheson.

Slone’s favorite part about leading a school is being able to work with a dedicated staff who works to create a family culture at Dove. To him, culture is the very foundation of what his school is built upon.

“The thing I love most about my job is the interaction that I have with families on a daily basis. By building relationships with students, teachers, families and the community, I am able to say that the interactions with those individuals make up the best part of my day.” Slone continued, “We have good people here- even the community takes interest in what we do and that truly depicts the image we want to have here at Dove Academy.”
