On February 14th, the Dove Academy of Detroit community showed their love for academic excellence, character responsibility, and leadership as they inducted their first group of middle school students into the No Excuses chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. Together, each of the fourteen newest members of NJHS pledged to the school community as a whole to willingly serve and demonstrate outstanding leadership both in and out of school in the choices they make everyday. Families and friends gathered together to support the many accomplishments of these young people and celebrate their commitment to success.
The No Excuses chapter of the National Junior Honor Society at Dove Academy is led under the careful guidance of Principal Malon Harris and middle school teacher Rachel Ignagni. The inductees honored this day are as follows: Maliah Akram (7th), Breanna Bush (7th), Breanna Dennis (8th),Christopher Glover (8th), Caleb Goode (6th), Janaya Goode (8th), Jaylen Gore (8th), Kayla Hunter (8th), Skyla Hunter (6th), Kamryon Johnson (7th), Skyler Mays (7th), Kaylen Trice (7th), Donald Waiters (7th), and Davion Webb (8th).
