Doug Doty and Carrie Paddock Join the Choice Family

It is with much excitement that we welcome Doug Doty and Carrie Paddock to our Choice Central team!

Doug Doty joins Choice as the Director of Development and as Three Oaks Public School Academy’s Area Superintendent. He has served as a school administrator for over sixteen years in both American and Canadian districts. Earning his Bachelor’s Degree from Calvin College and his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Covenant College, Doug has a strong desire to make a difference through helping people.

An advocate for education, Doug travels regularly to Peru and China working on service projects and educational partnerships. The Doty family as a whole is passionate about global education and children. He and his family have also hosted exchange students from Brazil and China in an effort to bring different cultures into their children’s lives and the local community.

Doug has been married to his wife Sonya for 23 years and they have three children together. They enjoy living in beautiful Grand Haven where they are active in their church and community.

Carrie Paddock joins Choice as the Curriculum and Literacy Specialist. She graduated from Manchester University in N. Manchester, IN with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. She went on to receive her Master’s in Education with an emphasis in curriculum from Indiana Wesleyan University. She taught elementary for eight years in Indiana prior to moving to Michigan.

In 2005, she took an elementary position at Creative Technologies Academy, a charter school in Cedar Springs. During her time there, she obtained her K-12 Administrative Certificate (in 2013) and became the Principal for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment for her last five years at CTA.

She is excited to be part of the Choice team and to be able to impact so many students through curriculum and literacy. Carrie and her husband, Burt, have been married for 17 years and have two daughters, Hannah and Rylee. They enjoy basketball in the winter and beach time in the summer!
