Our Values: Servant Leadership

“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.

We all deeply care about our schools and communities that we serve. No matter what role you play in the school, we all need each other to be successful.

Today we are going to focus on our aspirational value – servant leadership.

Servant leadership is putting others first. It is doing what is best for the whole and encouraging one another as we inspire and help students to grow, succeed and lead. Being a servant leader allows us to raise expectations for ourselves, one another, and the organization as we cast a vision for a better future.

By having a heart of a servant leader, you can impact the way you serve your students, families, staff and/or community. Share an example of how you or one of your teammates demonstrated servant leadership by emailing us an example
