Tuition assistance helps Will Carleton Academy senior pursue a nursing degree

Will Carleton Academy senior Annabelle Springborn was one of two area seniors to receive academic tuition assistance from Hillsdale Hospital last week. The hospital received several applications for this year’s scholarships. This scholarship will enable Annabelle to pursue a degree in nursing at Siena Heights University.

“This scholarship is a great opportunity for me and my family. I’m really grateful and am excited to start working towards this goal in the fall,” said Annabelle. “It is a huge stress reliever knowing I have a guaranteed job right after college, too!”

“This opportunity for Annabelle is tremendous! She is being rewarded for her hard work and commitment to her academic coursework. The curriculum at Will Carleton Academy, as well as at the Hillsdale Area Career Center, has served her well; she has taken advantage of every opportunity presented to her,” explained Will Carleton Academy Principal Colleen Vogt.

The partnership that Hillsdale Hospital cultivates with students pursuing careers in the medical field is wonderful. The financial support allows students to realize their potential as well as have the security of a position within the organization upon successful completion of their program of study. It is a win-win for the hospital and the young professional.

Hillsdale Hospital President and CEO Duke Anderson presented Annabelle Springborn, Will Carleton Academy senior and Ashley Terpening, Hillsdale High School senior, with their awards.

“The Will Carleton Academy is very proud of Annabelle and believes HH made a terrific decision when choosing her,” concluded Colleen Vogt.
