School Choice Week 2015 was jam-packed with celebrations! More than 11,082 School of Choice events across all 50 states happened throughout this week. This makes it the largest-ever celebration of opportunity in education. And we were part of it!
Take a look at some of the highlights from this year’s CHOICE events.
Battle Creek Montessori Academy
BCMA staff delivered breakfast to parents in the car line Monday morning. Their school family showed LOTS of appreciation! Parents responded with:
“That was a GREAT treat! Thank you BCMA Staff!”
“Thank you for all you do for the kids.”
“Thank you for being a great school! :)”
Creative Montessori Academy
CMA kicked off School Choice Week by having a Grab-n-Go breakfast for parents on Monday morning during drop off. They also thanked their parents for choosing CMA for their child’s education by hosting a Parent Breakfast on Friday morning.
Four Corners Montessori Academy
FCMA hosted a Parent Breakfast Friday morning, thanking parents for choosing FCMA for their children.
On Facebook, FCMA encouraged parents to share why they chose FCMA for their children. Everyone who responded was entered into a drawing for a gift card. The winner hasn’t been chosen yet, but here are couple of the great responses:
“We weren’t happy with the public school that our daughter was attending, and decided to tour Four Corners. We were won over by the Montessori method that allows our children to learn at their own pace. The classroom set ups were amazing too. Top that off with the sense of community at the school and there was only one choice for us.”
“FCMA was love at first sight for us. Our daughters are thriving and I am constantly amazed at the positive impact the school has had on our entire family.“

Macomb Montessori Academy
In the Bonsai Room at MMA, students celebrated School of Choice Week by making thank you notes for their parents for sending them to MMA! How sweet! Check out more on Facebook >
MMA also hosted a parent appreciation breakfast Friday morning.
Muskegon Montessori Academy for Environmental Change
MMAEC asked several students why they chose their school. Check out the videos here and here.
As a thank you to parents for choosing MMAEC, they gave coffee and muffins to parents during friday morning drop off, and cookies during afternoon pick up. They also encouraged parents to go green by using their reusable mugs. To further foster the parent relationship with the school, MMAEC will also offer parents coffee each day at the parent coffee bar.
Three Oaks Public School Academy
To show they appreciate their students for making the CHOICE to make Three Oaks their school home, all TOPSA+ students received t-shirts this week!
TOPSA+ also hosted a Chicken Dinner on Thursday night and a Family Brunch on Friday morning to say thank you to their school families.
