At Choice Schools, we take pride in our model-based structure that connects like-minded schools to collaborate and share best practices. This year, we celebrated that collaboration through our Montessori, and Environmental Model Conferences, which provided educators with valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen how we serve students.
Montessori Conference Highlight
The 2025 Montessori Conference welcomed special guest speaker Mr. Jesse McCarthy, a renowned educator with extensive experience in the Montessori Method. He led engaging sessions addressing common challenges teachers face, such as helping children focus, choose meaningful work, and manage big emotions. The workshops revisited Montessori fundamentals and provided practical, ready-to-use strategies for classroom success. Educators engaged in interactive discussions, had time for questions, and left with an in-the-moment “cheat sheet” of tools to support their daily practice. Breakout sessions allowed attendees to explore specialized topics further and collaborate on practical classroom solutions.
Environmental Conference Highlight
This year, the conference was held at New Branches Charter Academy, where participants had the opportunity to explore both the school building and the vibrant outdoor campus. The day featured meaningful sessions led by community partners as well as staff from our environmental schools, offering a rich variety of perspectives and expertise. Staff also enjoyed dedicated time to collaborate with colleagues in the same roles at other schools. It was truly a day of learning, collaboration, and fun.
