We are excited to welcome Ross Hinkle to Choice Schools as the Chief School Finance and Operations Officer. In this role, Ross oversees school finance, operations, safety, and facilities. Ross comes to us from Belding Area Schools, where he served as the Executive Director of Finance and Operations/CFO. There, he did the day-to-day accounting for the district along with oversight of the facilities, food service, technology, and transportation departments. Prior to that, he worked with local non-profit organizations for more than five years including the Grand Rapids Symphony, Kent District Library, and Hope Network. Ross has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Information Management and a Master’s in Business Administration with an accounting concentration, both from Davenport University. He also played hockey at Davenport. He is married to his wife, Casey and they have two kids, Weston and Riley, who are very involved in sports and other extracurricular activities. He loves to camp, travel, and experience new things as much as possible. Ross says he has a personal mission to make a difference in his job and is excited to join the Choice Schools family in hopes of doing just that.
