Dear Colleagues, Friends and Choice Family,
These last few days of school mark the official end of a chapter and the beginning of a new journey. Between graduations, field days and award ceremonies, the end-of-year celebrations are underway! Even in a season that brings celebration, we acknowledge that this year was difficult for many. Between working through the challenges of a global pandemic, virtual learning and for some of you navigating the heartache of loss, we stand with you. Though this year has continued to challenge our perseverance and grit, in so many ways, the past 15 months have changed our lives and how we educate children forever.
As we wrap up the 2020-2021 school year, we wanted to send a very warm and big thank you for your tireless efforts prioritizing our students. This experience has reinforced why we all do what we do. The purpose of school is learning. When we break it down to the simplest terms of why school exists, we are reminded that no matter a student’s history, situation or ability, our job is to prepare them for greatness. You deserve enormous credit for what you and your school were able to achieve this year and build for the future. Together, you made a tremendous impact on your students’ lives.
My gratitude overflows with this organization’s admirable talent from our educators, literacy specialists, student advocates and many other professions. Still, first and foremost, we are moms, dads, parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts and uncles who love kids.
Please take time this summer to relax and recharge with your family and friends.
