December is here, and for many of the families in our school communities that means holidays, time with the family and plenty of fun times. As we send off our students and staff for the Winter Break, we wanted to highlight the incredible things happening at our school this year. We would like to close 2022 with a message from our organization’s President, Sarah Wildey:
Every year around this time, we often look back on the year nearly completed. There’s often a keyword or phrase that helps us accurately describe the year in a nutshell. In years past, it has been words like pivot, perseverance, or taking action. This year, I’d like to take a different approach. Instead of a word for reflection, I’d like to choose a word for the new year. For 2023, I choose belonging.
This word is often used when speaking about our schools and families, but belonging means more. Belonging is about being accepted, welcomed, treasured, and free to be our true selves. Those who make up the Choice Schools community truly are special, and you belong here.
I am overwhelmed with admiration for everyone in this community. Thank you for working so diligently to transform the lives of every student entrusted to us. Thank you for exemplifying excellence, taking pride in your work, and expressing so much love for the kids we serve. Here’s to an even more transformational 2023.
